Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field

• 5+ years of experience in ORAT, Activation, airport operations, or project management. (Will consider ORAT and activation experience outside of the aviation industry.)

• Strong knowledge of airport systems, building systems, processes, and operations.

• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders

• Excellent communicator with strong facilitation, negotiation, and organizational skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; proficiency in project management tools and software is a plus

The Technical Writer develops clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation to support aviation operations and ORAT initiatives. This role works closely with subject matter experts, project teams, and stakeholders to translate complex operational and technical information into accessible materials that enable effective training, compliance, and Operational Readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SOPs, user guides, and training documentation

• Translate complex technical and operational concepts into clear, usable content

• Collaborate with airport/airline staff, SMEs, engineering, and project teams to ensure documentation accuracy

• Support documentation for operational workflows, tools, and process changes

• Ensure documentation aligns with client standards and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Communication, Aviation Management, or related field

• 2+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in aviation, engineering, or operational environments

• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen attention to detail

• Strong ability to synthesize complex information into accessible, structured formats

• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, or similar tools a plus

• Knowledge of aviation operations, airport processes, or ORAT is a strong plus.

This role ensures programs are well organized, clearly communicated, and executed effectively across multiple stakeholders while supporting Operational Readiness and transition activities.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across diverse stakeholder groups

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with project management tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk ) is a plus

• Exposure to ORAT programs is a plus

Position Overview

The Readiness Specialist – Intern provides coordination and administrative support to the Operational Readiness team across aviation projects. This role supports documentation, scheduling, communication, and readiness activities to help ensure projects are organized, tracked, and prepared for successful implementation. The position is ideal for candidates early in their career seeking hands-on experience in aviation, project coordination, and Operational Readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Support documentation, tracking, and scheduling for readiness activities

• Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and capture notes and action items

• Support communication and coordination with internal teams and stakeholders

• Assist with planning and logistics for testing, training, and readiness activities

• Support preparation and organization of SOPs and operational documentation

• Assist with transition and handover documentation and closeout deliverables

• Support continuous improvement through lessons learned and template updates
